The Birth of Cult of Clay
Ceramics found me long before I became a designer. I’ve been working with clay for over 30 years, and it continues to teach me. It teaches patience, respect for imperfection, openness to spontaneity. It shows me how beauty emerges in simplicity.
Clay is like life — unpredictable and raw, yet full of possibility.
When I touch clay, I feel ancient earth energy pulsing through me — grounding, healing, inspiring. That feeling fuels my process. I don’t simply shape objects — I translate stories, moods, memories into form.
My creative roots run deep. Ceramics was passed down to me through generations — from my grandparents and parents — along with values like patience, care, and attention to detail. I studied interior design, which gave me a deep understanding of ergonomics, balance, and functional beauty — all essential in creating pieces that feel good to use, not just to look at.
I’m also a proud member of the Lithuanian Folk Artists’ Union, which allows me to incorporate traditional Lithuanian techniques, forms, and symbolism into modern design.
Each piece is an invitation to slow down and live fully.
My hope is that my ceramics encourage you to:
